An experienced Physiotherapist, Oliver Bassett has been providing care to patients across Yorkshire and Lancashire for over 20 years. Oliver qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2002 from the University of Huddersfield, he is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Chartered with the Society of Physiotherapists (CSP).

 

Specialising in a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, Oliver uses a ‘hands on’ approach to address the collective causes that can contribute to injury to his patients in Barnsley and the Holme Valley.

 

He has vast experience in treating a wide range of Musculoskeletal disorders in various settings, including private physiotherapy clinics across Barnsley, Sheffield, Huddersfield and Manchester. He has also worked at Huddersfield Town Football Club, Huddersfield and Calderdale NHS Trust and Lectured in Anatomy at the University of Huddersfield on their Physiotherapy BSc Degree programme.

• Foot and ankle specialist, making customised foot orthotics for patients at a very affordable cost.  

• Sports rehabilitation and lower limb biomechanical assessment.

• Acupuncturist of 15 years using western, traditional and electro acupuncture.

• Kinetic taping – Advanced Practitioner Level 2.

• Rehabilitation for post-surgical patients such as knee and hip replacements and more complex spinal surgery of the lower back and neck.

• Vestibular rehabilitation and treatment for acute BPPV for the 'dizzy' patient.

• Chronic pain specialist, providing care for patients with longstanding painful conditions.

 

During his spare time Oliver enjoys spending time with his family who love the outdoors, coaching junior football, going to the gym and perusing his other interest of close up magic!
